The Thang
YHC had planned for a routine in which each pax would complete 5 Pull-Ups then make their way across the goal post via a overhead hang while the other Pax completed various stations of Merkins, Squats, LBC and WW1 sit-ups. The plan was for each pax to advance 1 station after the successful movement across the goal posts. Failure to complete the movement would have all Pax completed 5 HR Burpees. A second variant was a competition for the longest static hang.
The plan fell apart almost immediately when YHC lost his grip while demonstrating the movement and hyperextended his elbow to the point of considerable discomfort. Fortunately, the Pax understood what was required and completed 1 round without incident. However, since YHC was incapable of continuing that particular movement, an audible was called and the Pax moved to the track for a rack and stack BLIMPS routine:
5 Burpees, 1 lap
5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 1 lap
5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 15 4C Imperial Walkers, 1 lap
5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 15 4C Imperial Walkers, 20 Merkins, 1 lap
5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 15 4C Imperial Walkers, 20 Merkins, 25 4C Plank Jacks, 1 lap
5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 15 4C Imperial Walkers, 20 Merkins, 25 4C Plank Jacks, 30 Squats, 1 lap
Hard stop coming up, the Pax moseyed back to the parking lot.
