The chatter started by text before the workout, thanks to a heads-up from Zalinsky the Cavalier that there was a nasty accident at the intersection outside of UPP. Prayers for those involved, and thanks to NBPD for keeping everyone safe.
WARM-O-RAMA into THE THANG:
We got loose at the corner by the gazebo with some ruckless exercises, followed by 25 Bent Over Rows.
Then we rucked up and headed to the tunnel of lights/love for some overhead presses, before heading to the Convention Center to finish them.
Bent over ruck rows + overhead press = most of the movement of Ruck Thrusters, YHC’s top most hated exercise of 2024… thus we do them, and do lots of them.
Then to Nautical Wheelers for irkins, dirkins, toe elevated curb squats, and reach lunges (3-4 feet from curb, one leg “reaches” to the curb, aiming to land with just your forefoot (heal floating) to force your body and leg to stabilize the movement).
We rucked up to City Hall for the MAIN EVENT:
Goal setting + escalators.
Timer was set for 10 minutes. Reps increased by 1 each time.
To start, 1 thruster, ruck on, up City Hall steps, down the other side, then TWO (2) curb-elevated squats on the other curb.
Back up and down the steps, THREE (3) thrusters –> ruck the steps –> 4 Squats and so on.
I believe Bitcoin led the way, getting to round 17+ before time expired.
Ruck back to Isaac Taylor for some Irkins/Dirkins.
Ruck to S Front St.
Weak arm Farmer’s Carry to the Harvey.
Strong arm Farmer’s Carry to Ms. B’s house on the left.
Rifle carry from there to the tunnel of lights/love.
Ruck back to the Gaazebo from there.
MARY:
Found a spot in the grass for some chest press, static ruck ab work, and time was up.
We counted, named, announced and prayed.
