The Beaver Moon did not disappoint. A beautiful, clear cool evening with the moon shining bright.

The conversation was great and the pace was steady. The Pax reached Bridgepoint Hotel without incident other than a brief interaction while we were downtown with an extremely intoxicated young woman who was seeking a ride home. Since Kevin and Grey Poupon were unavailable for comment, the Pax considered contacting Ottoman who had volunteered to act as an emergency evac if needed. YHC worried that a Merlot incident might complicate a second Ottoman assist if needed so the Pax continued down the road.

The return trip to NBHS was at a slower pace with more opportunities for the Pax to help relieve some of the local drought conditions for multiple plants, trees and shrubs along the way.

By mile 14, the grind was real but the Pax pressed on. Miles 15-18, the conversation was less and the internal struggle was greater. Final mile brought a little pep back to the group. YHC made the final turn and said, there must be a wrestling tournament as the parking lot looked a little more packed than when we left. Turns out, it was Bitcoin’s M who had graciously brought the Pax sausage biscuits and coffee from BoJangles! Much appreciated and needed! Thank you @Monica!

The Pax were out for about 6.5 hours and covered over 19 miles. I always learn a little something new about the men who participate in the overnight rucks and a lot about myself.

Hope you will join us for the next one
