A pax of 3 gathered on a crisp morning to knock out the final week of the Iron Pax Challenge. With 52 + minutes of work to be completed, we stretched for a few minutes and then went through the directions for the workout.
The cool morning temps and fun mumblechatter were soon replaced by sweat drenched shirts and excessively heavy breathing. Even McRib was issuing a series of Father Mulcahy-like grunts. YHC’s grandiose thoughts of completing at least 1 round of the challenge were quickly smashed upon the cinderblocks of reality. Plan B was very close to completing 1 round and McRib successfully completed round 1 and started working his way back up the exercise list when the timer rang.
We counted, named and prayed. Grateful for the opportunity to lead.
Set timer for 52 min 30 seconds. Exercises are to be done in sets of 25 reps. After completing 25 reps, run to the cone that is 25 yards away and do 3 burpees. After the 3 burpees, run back and continue with exercise.
- 200 curls
- 175 squats
- 150 Overhead Press
- 125 Kettlebell Swings
- 100 Merkins
- 75 Thrusters
- 50 Mike Tysons (right leg-left leg = 1 rep)
- 25 Blockees
If you finish all of the exercises, repeat in reverse order from the last time you just did it. The burpees DO NOT count in your rep count. 900 reps is the total if you get through all of the exercises.
