A Pax of 6 showed for a soggy outing in the grass. 420, uncertain at that moment who had the Q, asked YHC if I thought we would get wet and I assured him that we would.

The Thang
YHC brought a deck of over-sized cards playing cards. Each card determined an exercise and number of reps. Pax was quite confused as YHC renamed the suit of Hearts as Queens. Once this faux pas was recognized, Pax quickly adapted and overcame YHC’s careless error.
The exercises for cards 2-7 were: Jump Squats, Burpees, Chin-ups, Pull-ups.
The exercises for cards 9-A were: Merkins, Sumo Squats, Carolina Dry Docks and WW1 sit-ups. (I did tell 420 we would get wet.) J=11, Q=12, K=13, A=14 All exercises were OYO.
Each 8 card drawn was a run of 200 yards. The Joker was a kicker. The exercise was a suicide (total of 100 forward yards and 60 yards in back pedal) to be completed within 50 seconds to knock a quantity of 2 off each remaining exercise or gain 2 if we failed as a group to average less than 55 seconds.
With 53 exercises to perform, YHC was uncertain if we would finish the deck before the hard stop. We divided into 2 groups to minimize the number of Pax on the goal posts at any 1 time. The Pax worked hard and efficiently. The Joker showed after 60-65% of the deck had been cleared. Not wanting to add reps to the remaining exercises as we were on pace to complete the deck, the Pax again gave a little more. Even with the soggy, almost muddy, conditions, Pax worked hard and we knocked our rep count down by 2 with 1 being the minimum number of exercises to perform. (mental note-next time 45 seconds to drop reps and average of 50 to avoid adding 2).
Pax completed the deck; over 60 Merkins, Sumo Squats, Carolina Dry Docks, WW1 and over 20 Jump Squats, Burpees, Chin-ups and Pull-ups, 800 yard run and a suicide with 15 minutes to spare.
Not wanting to waste an opportunity for calf raises, we moseyed to the step by the overhang for 125 calf raises. We moved to the boxes for Bulgarian Split squats OMD x 15 and Dips OMD x 20. Rinse and repeat BSS and Dips.
