Ruck It BackBlast

Mr. Roboto and YHC posted this morning for Ruck It.  Theme of the Day – Irkins.

Hard Start @ 0530.  Ruck route started from Gazebo and took us under bridge and along the Trent Riverfront.  Saw Kevorkian here.  He was walking casually and was bedecked in an F3 shirt, but in what looked to be lounge pants or PJ pants or something similar (might have been sweat pants – hard to tell in the Gloom).  No matter.  He had his arm in a ruck sling and was getting work done.

Route continued alongside the New Bern Grand Marina, up by the Farmer’s Market, back down and behind the History & Education Center, behind and around Tryon Palace, up to and along Broad Street, back along the Neuse Riverfront, continuing along E Front St, back under the bridge and concluding at our starting point.

Along the way, we found multiple stations for Irkin work.  These were performed on benches, steps, walls, rails, etc.  Irkins were done in slow-tempo down, pause at bottom, slow-tempo up; slow-tempo up & down; slow-tempo down, explode up; and fly-away Irkins.  The different stations gave the Pax different angles to more fully work the targeted muscle groups.

Hard Stop @ 0615 with YHC offering prayer for the day.
