“Hello darkness, my old friend….” these were the words that greeted my mind this morning, after several weeks of sleeping in.
Sidenote – for a compelling version of this song (The Sound of Silence), search Youtube for the rendition performed by the band Disturbed.
Double Dipper and YHC rucked a fairly tame pace (thank you for your consideration, Double Dipper) so as not to aggravate YHC’s foot condition. Route took us from the Union Point Park Gazebo down S. Front St. and around the back side of Tryon Palace, then down Pollock St. to Metcalf and then down Broad St. back to E. Front. We were able to cross the bridge to the stoplight by Bridgepoint and return to the Gazebo. Along the way, we stopped for:
- Reverse Grip Irkins, 20x
- Tricep Dips, 25x
- Upright Ruck Rows, 25x
How about a 2nd F event sometime soon that would include M’s and possibly 2.0’s? Cookout at Creekside Park, Glenburnie Park, or someone’s house perhaps? Any Pax want to step up here? Maybe something mid-to-late afternoon on March 28 post-Bridge Run?
