Gotta know when to hold ’em…

10 eager fellas posted up Sat AM in the setting of intermittent showers but cooler temps. They didn’t realize their physical work this morning was going to be in part dependent on the two cards they were holding — all in or fold?!  No FNGs so we got right to it.

WARMARAMA

  • SSH x 30
  • Windmills x 20
  • Downward dog calf stretches OYO each leg
  • Pretzel stretch OYO each side
  • Two 5 man Indian runs around school to practice field

THE THANG

  • The Bear Burps
    • Partner A – 2 full Bear crawls followed by 2 Burpies
    • Partner B – runs to cone and then back to relieve Partner A then rotate until cone is reached
  • Stack ’em up
    • Lunges to 15 yards then 7 Catalina Wine Mixers then run backwards back to endline for 20 American Hammers (double count)
    • Lunges to 15 yards then 7 CWM then lunges another 15yds for Chilli planks x 20 then run backwards 15yds for 7 more CWM then run backwards back to baseline for 20 AH
  • Hold ‘Em
    • Each player draws 2 cards which dictates exercise as below (can change out cards once if desired)
      • Ace – player chooses exercise
      • King – peoples chair, 10 count for each player
      • Queen – balls to the wall, 10 count each
      • Jack – hold standard plank, 10 count each
      • Diamonds – cards 5-10: # of Merkins with 2 x air presses
      • Spades – cards 5-10: # of box jumps
      • Hearts – cards 5-10: # of gorilla squats x 2
      • Clubs – cards 5-10: # of dips x 2

MARY

  • Protractor – 90, 60, 45, 20 degrees hold
  • Low slow fluttter IC x 30
  • WWI sittups x 25
