Bushwood BackBlast – Game of Death

A Pax of 26 HIMs posted this morning for Bushwood.  Absolutely perfect weather greeted the group for a mid-week pick me up.  Thanks to all the runners who decided to post anyway, knowing this was going to be a no-run kind of a day.  Once gathered, we circled up and YHC gave the Mission Statement & Disclaimer.

WARM-O-RAMA

  • SSH, IC, 5x
  • Slow Carrot Pickers, IC, 5x
  • Baseball Stretches
  • Downward Dog

THE THANG

  • Bruce Lee with 20x per exercise (Slow American Hammers IC, Leg Raises, LBC IC, Heel Touch IC, Crunchy Frog) with the exception of 100s, where we did 50
  • Short Mosey underneath Country Club

Deck of Death

  • Spades = Squats, OMD
  • Diamonds = Merkins, OMD
  • Clubs = Carolina Dry Docks, OMD
  • Hearts = Monkey Humpers, IC
  • Cards 2 thru 5 = 5 Reps; 6 thru 10 = 10 Reps; Face Cards & Ace = 15 Reps
  • 2 Jokers interspersed in the Deck = 5 Prison Cell Merkin Burpees
  • Finished entire deck.  Great work, gentlemen!  Total Reps per suit = 130

Special shout out to Plan B who “volunteered” to be the Assistant to the Q this morning.  Duties included cutting the cards to start, an epic 3 count so the Pax could catch its collective breath, and generally keeping the Mumble Chatter going when it was most needed.

  • Mosey back to Parking Lot

MARY

  • Bruce Lee with 15x per exercise and 50s
  • Ran out of time, so no Control Freak Merkins this morning
  • Hard Stop @ 0615

No announcements.  Counted, named, & prayed.

Game of Death reference – Bruce Lee movie (think the iconic yellow/black sweat suit)

Appreciate the opportunity to lead this morning.  You are an outstanding Pax, and YHC is certainly humbled to counted as one of you.

If you think about it, remember Black Dog and YHC at some point this weekend.  We will be in Myrtle Beach for GrowRuck 22, and we are sure to be tested in a mighty way.  Thoughts & prayers will be most welcomed.

Bitcoin, out!

    1. OUCH, Bro!

Don’t know what to tell you. The BB was “in” before 9:30am.

I’ll try to do better next time …
