As I ran and did burpees for 2 Finger’s birthday on Monday, I became a little concerned that I may need to adjust my already planned birthday workout. I’ve had a little longer to think about this birthday workout than normal. As most of the PAX knows, I was on IR for 6 months and, therefore, did not have an opportunity to Q a workout for my 50th. That was very tough for me. At times, I did not think that I’d be able to return to F3. At other times, I was determined that I would return and actually had thoughts during that time about how to construct a workout for my 51st if I was able to return. In the end, I decided that only the first 3rd of my workout was similar to 2 Finger’s workout, so I just struck with the original plan.
- 51 SSH IC
- 10 Burpees/Blue Hawaiian lap; Repeato 5 times. 50 burpees for last year’s missed workout (“leap year”)
Mosey to the bottom of the hill behind the Club.
- 17 Merkins SC/lunge up and down the hill
- 17 American Hammer IC/run up and down the hill
- 17 Squats/run backwards up and down the hill
- 17 Burpees/20 count
- Repeato 3 times resulting in 51 of each exercise, including 51 additional burpees.
Mosey to brick wall in front parking lot.
- 17 Dips
- 17 Calf raises
- 17 Gym Class sit-ups with partner
- Repeato 3 times resulting in 51 of each exercise
Honestly, being able to Q and participate in today’s workout was as good of a birthday present as a 51 year old could ask for. Thank you for allowing me to have that opportunity!
Hopefully, there are no other birthdays this week…I’m fearful that we could have a strike next year around this time.
