A Pax of 7 claimed victory over the Fartsack this morning and posted to Bushwood.  Peeping Tom led the procession underneath the clubhouse for the Gathering and Hard Start @ 0530 sharp.  YHC welcomed the Pax with the Mission Statement and Disclaimer.

Close with Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama and Lord’s Prayer.  No announcements, although there was a brief bit of mumble chatter regarding McRib and Mr. Roboto —  wondering if they are doing Stay-At-Home Virtual Workouts in preparation for Sasquatch.

Idea was to work chest, quads/glutes, triceps, shoulders, abs in a rotating fashion in an effort to get in multiple reps per muscle group (5 exercises, 20 reps … 5/20   Get it?)  This workout started out easy enough, but the progression of sets started to take its toll.  Heavy breathing, grunting, etc. emanated from YHC, who contracted a case of the spaghetti arms once the workout was over.  Unsure if any of the other Pax were as adversely effected.  Not a bad way to start the day … might require a nap later, though.

  • P1 & P2 back to back on your six. Pass sandbag around from side to side 25 times. Switch directions 1/2 way. Blue Hawaiian Lap.
  • P1 & P2 foot to foot on your six. P1 sit up w/ sand bag overhead toss to P2.  P2 back down over head sit up and toss to P1.  25 times.  Blue Hawaiian Lap.
  • P1 Inch worm planks w/ pushups, P2 30 sand bag raises. Switch , rinse, repeat. Blue Hawaiian Lap
  • P1 Squat kicks, P2 30 sand bag squats, Switch , rinse, repeat. Blue Hawaiian Lap.
  • P1 Plank walks w/ burpee, P2 skip runs back and forth from side to side 10 times, Switch , rinse, repeat. Blue Hawaiian Lap.
  • P1 Wood Chop w/ sandbag 15 times, P2 Frankenstein back and forth, Switch , rinse, repeat. Blue Hawaiian Lap.

Heavy Stuff

While the slated Q was possibly wandering the Back 9 in the Heavy Stuff, 3 of us took shelter and did sets of alternating upper body, leg and ab exercises with 3 laps around the covered area “track” in between sets.  Then we counted, named and prayed the Lord’s Prayer in honor of Peeping Tom.

Pax of 12, sufficiently socially distant, posted this morning for a little running, push-ups, pull-ups and sit-ups.  I don’t get to see the golf course that often.  Seems to be in good shape.

12 men congregated in blatant disregard to Roy Cooper’s suggestions to put in some work at Bushwood.  We took a quick Blue Hawaiian lap to warm up with some baseball stretches, up and down dog, and sun gods.  There was a common theme today, 5s.  Just like 7s or 11s except the 4/1, 3/2, 2/3, 1/4 were really in multiples of 10.  Ends up 100 reps of each.

On 1 fairway, Sumo Squats, Bear Crawl to change sides, Freddies

On 8 fairway, Dry Docks, Butt Kicks across, American Hammers

We were running out of time so on 10 fairway we had to cut it in half, Merkins, Lunge, IWs.
