Took cover for 7 rounds of chest, leg, dynamic (Imperial Walkers, Mountain Climbers…), and ab exercises with alternating Bear Crawl and Crab Walk to opposite end of covered area in between rounds.  Then counted, named, prayed.

10 brave men came together this morning to get some exercise.  After a brief discussion of the federal recommendation- is it groups of 10 or less or less than 10?- we got to work with:

SSH x 10 IC, Sun Gods x 10 IC, Imperial Walkers x 10 IC, Cotton Pickers x 10 IC.

We then did a series of Blue Hawaiian Laps, followed by an ascending number of Merkens oyo:

10 regular Merkens, 15 hand-release Merkens, 20 Ranger Merkens, 25 Wide Merkens, 30 Regular, 35 regular and 40 regular for a total of 175 Merkens and 7 laps.  With chest and shoulders burning, we moved on to:

Lunge across parking lot, squats at the end and mosey back.  We did 10, 15,20,25 and 30 squats for a total of 100 squats and 5 lunge walks/mosey backs.

We then did bear crawls down, LBC’s, then mosey back.  We did 10, 20, 30 and 40 LBC’s.

After another Blue Hawaiian Lap, we did 20 Plankjacks IC, 20 Travoltas IC, 20 American Hammers and 20 LBC’s IC.

Pax of 19 on a warmer, beautiful morning. The moon was still bright and Gander turned the tennis court lights on for me.  We jumped right in with:

  • Sun Gods X10 IC backward/forward
  • Plank Jacks X 24 IC
  • Mountain Climbers X 23 IC
  • Imperial Walkers X 24 IC
  • Merkins X 23
  • Down Dog Stretches (approximately 47 seconds)

Mosey to lit tennis courts.  Counted off by 2s and lined up along sideline fence.  Started with 1s Bearcrawling across court to sideline of adjacent court and run backwards back to starting place.  2s perfomed WW1 sit ups and then flap jack when 1s return.  Repeated the same with the following

  • Crabwalk/Overhead clap squat
  • Lt. Dan/American Hammer
  • Broad jump/Plank

We did 10 Burpees and then left the courts and moseyed over to Garber Ministry Parking lot.  Ran around the lots 3 times stopping at each corner for:

  • Lap 1 – Wide Merkins x 10
  • Lap 2 – DIamond Merkins x 10
  • Lap 3 – Merkins x 10

Then 10 Burpees and an Indian Run back to employee parking lot where we lined up on one side of the lot and did the following:

  • 10 Burpees – run down and back
  • 10 Burpees – run down and back
  • 7 Burpees – run down and back
  • 47 squats, Carioca down and back

We followed a quick Blue Hawaiian lap with a round of eight exercises Tabata-style (20 sec work, 10 sec rest):

  • Burpees
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Plank
  • Butt kickers
  • Mountain climbers

We did eight rounds with another BH lap, a backwards BH lap, and a BH lap backwards thrown in to mix it up.

8 posted at a damp Bushwood this morning for Hitomi Tanaka, loosely translated from Japanese as “lotta chest.”  I was just planning on q’ing the Fartlek Monday but my legs were so sore i q’d today to make sure we didn’t do any legs.  So it was heavy pec work.  Incidentally i’m q’ing Friday, anticipating not wanting to do any chest again.  This isn’t some McRib retaliation for no one else signing up where i just crush souls for days, I’m just looking out for my own interests.  But speaking of, I’m getting reports he’s fed up with people ignoring the Sheets app and has been looking for the “Learning to Walk” workout details.

Stretched the shoulders and did a few mountain climbers and dry docks to loosen up with a short mosey to 1 green.  10 Tempo Fingertip Merkins, 15 Imperial Walkers IC, mosey to 17 tee.  10 Tempo Fingertip Merkins, 15 Imperial Walkers IC, 20 Crucible Merkins, 25 Hillbillies.  Mosey to employee lot near curbs, 10 Tempo Fingertip Merkins, 15 Imperial Walkers IC, 20 Crucible Merkins, 25 Hillbillies, 30 Reverse Grip Merkins, 30 Fire Hydrants.  Mosey to basement, 10 Tempo Fingertip Merkins, 15 Imperial Walkers IC, 20 Crucible Merkins, 25 Hillbillies, 30 Reverse Grip Merkins, 30 Fire Hydrants, 40 single arm dips laying on side, 45 LBCs.  I think we did that same last set again except for the LBCs, i must have blacked out.

Headed to basement for Mary:  Mountain Climbers; Series of back and forth oblique crunches and LSFs.   Got everybody dirtier and wetter than i like, sorry about that.

Wednesdays are usually packed. But I guess the rain/threat of rain kept the pax locked down in the fartsack. However, a hearty pax of 9 braved the possibilities to post on what turned out to be a great morning. The rain stopped and we got started with an impromptu Q by YHC.

Started off with a Blue Hawaiian, returned to the parking lot. Due to the lack of a planned routine, YHC chose to do 11s with the exercises being chosen by the pax. II Fingers chose Burpees. Don’t ask II Fingers.

Snake speed walk back to parking lot (was really hard to stop the runners from running).
