The Ice Bear

7 showed up on a chilly morning at the Bear.  Due to the ice and snow it was  a bit of a late arriving crowd and early conversation centered around the temperature reading on our cars.  The consensus was that it was somewhere between 3 and 7 degrees.  Either way it was cold.  Shovels in hand we ice skating across the frozen tundra of New Bern High and found our way to the covered area.  From there we warmed up with

  • SSH IC x 25
  • High knees IC x 20
  • Merkins slow count x 20
  • Cotton Pickers IC x 15

We then partnered up.  Due to the frozen conditions and the difficulty of running on ice Ingrown felt some snow shoveling was in order.  Plus we could provide some community service by shoveling off the walk from the student parking lot to the covered area.  So, Partner A shoveled while Partner B performed an exercise and then flap jack.  Shoveling and exercises were performed with 2 minute intervals.  Several 5 Burpee audibles were also called by Ingrown.  The exercises were:

  • Plank Jacks
  • Squats
  • Merkins
  • Box Jumps
  • Derkins
  • Goof Balls

At this point the walk was fairly clear so we split up and did a round of 7s on the walk with American Hammers and Burpees.

And finished up with Mary consisting of:

  • WWI sit ups x 20
  • Stars and Bars – Ingrown
  • Monkey Humpers  x 20 – 420
  • LSF x 15 – Cuddy
  • LBC x 40 – 2 Fingers
  • Box Cutters x 20 – FlankSteak
  • 5 Burpees – Oz
  • Peter Parker – Rick Mahler

YHC took us out in prayer.  As always enjoyed it!  Thanks for putting up with a bit of  disjointed workout but I think we all enjoyed it.  Aye!

We will need Qs!  So please sign up.
